If you look at the expression ‘Green Building’ you get a pretty good understanding of what EnerQuality is all about. EnerQuality was founded in 1998 as an inspired partnership between the Canadian Energy Efficiency Alliance and the Ontario Home Builders Association. In other words ‘Green’ + ‘Building’. Our mission is to transform Ontario’s housing into the most energy efficient and sustainable in the world.

It’s arguable whether we’ve inspired Ontario or whether it’s the other way around, but EnerQuality has emerged as Canada’s leading provider of green building services by tapping into Ontario builders' eagerness to innovate and build responsibly.

Our market-driven approach is delivering unprecedented results: Ontario builders are delivering the much needed new homes that Ontario’s growth demands – but they’re doing so in ways that use less natural resources, consume less energy and are healthier and more comfortable to live in. (And you can add the word ‘significantly’ to every one of those statements.)

The key to successful green building is that it has to be both affordable (to homebuyers) and practical (for home builders). EnerQuality's programs are designed to give builders options so they can select the program that is right for their customer and their business.

EnerQuality's ‘green team’ is made up of the very best from every aspect of the home building industry – from product manufacturers, utilities and professionals to all levels of government. Together with our partners, we are supporting Ontario builders drive a ‘Green for All’ movement that is certifying record numbers of green homes and reducing greenhouse gas emmissions by literally thousands and thousands (and thousands) of tonnes per year.
