John Amardeil is the previous President of BAM Builder Advertising and Marketing. With an MBA from York University and an extensive background in the new home industry, John has, since 1984, established an outstanding track record in the marketing and sale of new homes in the GTA. He has worked for some of the most prominent builders in Ontario, and has marketed and sold well over 50,000 new homes.
Scott Bullock is the Residential Sales Manager, Marketing and Energy Conservation for Enbridge Gas Inc. In this capacity, he leads a team responsible for designing and implementing programs targeted to assist Enbridge’s residential builders in the efficient use of natural gas. Prior to joining the Residential team, Scott was a member of the very successful High Performance New Construction (HPNC) team at Enbridge.
Mike Collins-Williams is a Registered Professional Planner and graduate of Ryerson University’s Urban and Regional Planning program.
He is the Director of Policy at the Ontario Home Builders’ Association and is responsible for government relations and land development issues impacting the housing and land development industry.
Paul Commisso is a seasoned transformational marketing leader who recently joined JELD-WEN of Canada as the Director of Marketing and Product Management. He is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies that both increase brand awareness at the consumer level as well as excite and drive sales through JELD-WEN’s sales channels.
Mike Cote has been working in the residential construction industry for more than 35 years, currently serving as Senior Advisor & Deputy Registrar for the Tarion Warranty Program.
Prior to joining Tarion in 1989, Mike was involved in the municipal and private sector areas of residential and commercial construction.
Susan Cudahy is the Strategic Account Manager for the Residential Delivery Team focused on large volume home builders and the Commercial Savings by Design Program for Union Gas Limited.
Susan has served on many Boards and Advisory Committees including for Industry Canada, Ministry of International Trade and Investment and Ministry of Research and Innovation.
Corey Diamond has more than two decades of experience leading social change organizations focused on engaging people to take action on environmental and social issues. The executive director of Efficiency Canada, Corey spent 10 years helping lead Summerhill, engaging the public on energy efficiency behaviours, working with utilities, government and the private sector to drive energy savings across Canada.
Heather Ferris is a territory sales representative with InSinkErator Canada, with a comprehensive knowledge in multichannel sales and marketing, including within builders, architects, designers, wholesale showrooms and plumbing boutiques. She is an expert in food waste disposers, hot water dispensers and the role they play in sustainable kitchen design and building.
Andy Goyda, Canadian Builder Lead & Market Development Manager for Owens Corning Canada, has been involved in the residential industry for 40 years. Under Andy’s direction, Owens Corning Canada was a founding sponsor of the CHBA Net Zero Energy Housing Council (NZC).
Andy was Chair of the CHBA Manufacturers Council for seven years, was on the CHBA Board of Directors for 10 years, and is currently as a Board member of EnerQuality.
Chloe Hill works in Membership Development and Marketing at the Federation of Rental-housing Providers of Ontario. Chloe has an extensive background in Sales, Marketing, Business Development and Client Relations.
A former account manager and top sales performer at NEXTHOME and Yellow Pages Group, she holds diplomas in General Arts and Business Marketing
Cindy Kaye has worked in sales and marketing at Laurel Oak Marketing Ltd. since 2013. Cindy works with clients in the home building industry, and her projects consist of Ontario Home Builder magazine, ohba.ca and Ontario Builder Forum.
Before joining Laurel Oak, Cindy worked in marketing and event management at Sun Media for its consumer and trade show division.
Dave Potter is the Chief Building Official for the Town of Newmarket. He has held positions of Plans Examiner and Building Inspector as well as responsibilities for Bylaw Enforcement and Property Standards.
Dave is also a former Ontario Building Officials Association board member and Secretary-Treasurer.
Jessica Rowe is Manager, Sales & Contracts for Cricket Energy Holdings Inc., a company specializing in designing high performance buildings and communities, and providing energy services to multi-residential facilities and single family homes. She’s been involved in the building and development community for more than six years and has a passion for green energy technology and smart buildings/cities.
Steven Street came to Wood WORKS! after a career in design, off-site panelisation and factory prefabrication. As Technical Manager, he provides market information and technical support to design professionals, developers and builders. He is involved in a number of key Canadian market development programs, including the role wood plays in advancing mid-rise and tall wood building construction. He sits on the board of the Ontario Structural Wood Association.
Product Innovation Award Jury
Wells Baker is the Director of Conservation and Sustainable Design at the Minto Group Inc. He leads a team of engineers and specialists focused on improving product quality and building performance in both Minto’s new developments and existing building portfolio. Minto is a residential developer and landlord with operations in Toronto, Ottawa, London, Calgary, Edmonton, and Florida.
Brendan Charters started as a general labourer and worked his way up as a carpenter, through sales and management to business owner; he has worked in all facets of design and construction of residential additions, renovations and custom homes. Brendan is a partner at Eurodale Developments Inc, a multiple award winning design-build firm. As past Chair of yBILD, BILD Executive and Board of Director member, he is recognized as an industry expert and called upon frequently by media outlets to speak on industry topics and educate consumers.
Jennifer Weatherston is Director of Innovation and Integration with Reid’s Heritage Homes. She over sees the success of the company’s innovation and desire to think ahead of the curve and integrate solutions of tomorrow today into production home building. Jennifer has led the team in advancing the successful path to Net Zero, while demonstrating a strong commitment to advance better building practices from an affordability, home comfort, quality and production minded aspect.
