This workshop will help you achieve better than code performance. Attendees will learn about energy simulation modelling as a tool for optimizing assembly and equipment design choices for performance and costs. The building science of building enclosures will be examined, along with design considerations for achieving highly efficient, airtight, quiet, and moisture-resistant enclosures. This workshop supports the ENERGY STAR® Multifamily High-Rise Program.
This workshop will examine how to achieve better than code performance. Attendees will learn about energy simulation modelling as a tool for optimizing assembly and equipment design choices for both performance and costs including;
- Simulation software systems and their pros and cons
- Building energy performance codes
- Setting goals and expectations
- Building as a system
- The Integrated Design Process
- Common energy conservation measures (ECM)
