Home Job Ready – An OHBA program managed by EnerQuality

Looking to hire workers in construction?

EnerQuality (on behalf of the OHBA) can help.

The Ontario Homebuilders’ Association (OHBA) has renewed its program to provide ‘job ready’ candidates to help support Ontario’s construction businesses. Managed by EnerQuality, the OHBA program will recruit, pre-screen and qualify prospective workers and provide the necessary training required by the Ministry of Labour, Training & Skills Development.

We’re looking for interested employers who will hire these job-ready workers for a six-month, full-time, paid placement, typically into non-unionized, starter positions, such as general labour.

Employers can tap into a pool of workers that have completed mandatory industry safety training and could receive up to a $3,000 incentive (per hire) with the ability to convert placement workers to full-time employees at the end of their placement.

There is no cost to participate in the program. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided to all participants.

Round 3 registration will be open in April 2023.

Meanwhile please contact us and share with us the number of positions and roles that you are looking to hire for. We will add your name to a wait list for the next phase of the Program and will reach out to you once it has begun.
